      Yes. Genetic testing is not only for people who are already unwell. It is often recommended for people who are healthy but want to know their risk of being a carrier for a disease and planning a pregnancy, those with a family history of a condition, or those wanting to understand their risk for certain hereditary cancers before any symptoms appear.
