      If both parents are carriers for a genetic condition, will every child be affected?

      Not necessarily. If both parents carry a change in gene causing the same genetic condition, each pregnancy has a 25% chance of the child inheriting the genetic change from both parents and being affected, a 50% chance of the child being a carrier like the parents, and a 25% chance of the child not inheriting the changed gene at all. These odds apply to each individual pregnancy.
