What does it mean if my genetic test result is “inconclusive”?
An inconclusive result means the test wasn’t able to give a clear answer, either because no gene change was found even though the condition is still suspected, or because the finding couldn’t be clearly linked to your symptoms. Your geneticist may recommend a different test, testing other family members, or revisiting the case in the future as testing technology improves.
