What is Lynch syndrome?
Lynch syndrome is an inherited condition that runs in families. It’s caused by certain changes in one of a few specific genes that normally help repair small errors in our DNA. When one of these genes isn’t working properly, it becomes easier for cancer to develop over a person’s lifetime – particularly colorectal (colon) and endometrial (uterine) cancer.
