1. Consultation Services
Online / Teleconsultation Appointments

Consultation fees are generally non-refundable once the appointment has been confirmed.

If a patient cancels at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment, the amount may be:

Rescheduled to another date, or
-
Refunded after deducting applicable payment gateway charges.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment or missed appointments (“no-shows”) are not eligible for refund.
Doctor-Initiated Rescheduling
Our doctors may also be engaged in clinical practice at other hospitals or healthcare facilities. Occasionally, unforeseen medical emergencies or urgent patient-care responsibilities may require a doctor to reschedule an appointment. In such circumstances, we will make every reasonable effort to inform the patient as early as possible and offer an alternative appointment at the earliest convenient date. Patients are expected to reschedule their appointment when such a change is required due to an unforeseen circumstance involving the doctor. However, if the same appointment is rescheduled by the doctor on more than two occasions, the patient will have the option to:
- Cancel the appointment and receive a refund in accordance with our refund policy; or
- Reschedule the consultation with the same doctor at a mutually convenient date; or
- Opt for a consultation with another available doctor, subject to availability and applicable consultation terms.
We appreciate the client's understanding that such rescheduling may occasionally be unavoidable due to medical emergencies and patient-care responsibilities.
Doctor Cancellation or Technical Issues
- Since all our doctors are practicing elsewhere as well and medical emergencies could happen at any time with their patients, we do see the need for rescheduling from the doctor side not uncommonly. In such cases, the patient is informed as early as possible and is expected to reschedule the appointment to a later date. If this happens more than twice, they can have the option to have a cancellation and refund or reschedule with sma or other doctor.

If the consultation is cancelled by Genetidoc or due to unavoidable technical issues from our side, patients may choose:

A full refund, or
-
A rescheduled appointment at no additional cost.

2. Genetic Tests & Laboratory Services

Once a genetic test sample has been collected, processed, or sent to the laboratory, the payment becomes non-refundable.

Refunds may be considered only if:

The test was booked incorrectly and the sample has not yet been collected,
-
The laboratory is unable to process the sample,
-
The service cannot be delivered for operational reasons.

Sample Rejection

If a sample is rejected due to inadequate quantity or quality, Genetidoc may request a repeat sample. Refund eligibility in such cases will depend on the laboratory policy.
3. Report Delivery Delays

Genetic testing timelines are estimated and may vary depending on laboratory processing, logistics, or technical requirements.

Delays in report generation alone do not qualify for refunds unless the service becomes impossible to complete.
4. Payment Refund Timeline

Approved refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days to the original payment method.

Payment gateway or bank processing times may vary.
5. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be provided in the following cases:

Change of mind after booking,

Failure to attend scheduled consultation,

Incorrect information provided by the patient,

Delay caused by incomplete documents or samples,

Services already completed.
