Refund and Returns Policy

Welcome to Genetidoc. We strive to provide high-quality genetic counseling, consultation, and testing services. Please read our refund policy carefully before booking any service or test.

1. Consultation Services

Online / Teleconsultation Appointments

  • Consultation fees are generally non-refundable once the appointment has been confirmed.

  • If a patient cancels at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment, the amount may be:

    • Rescheduled to another date, or

    • Refunded after deducting applicable payment gateway charges.

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment or missed appointments (“no-shows”) are not eligible for refunds.

Doctor Cancellation or Technical Issues

  • If the consultation is cancelled by Genetidoc or due to unavoidable technical issues from our side, patients may choose:

    • A full refund, or

    • A rescheduled appointment at no additional cost.

2. Genetic Tests & Laboratory Services

  • Once a genetic test sample has been collected, processed, or sent to the laboratory, the payment becomes non-refundable.

  • Refunds may be considered only if:

    • The test was booked incorrectly and the sample has not yet been collected,

    • The laboratory is unable to process the sample,

    • The service cannot be delivered for operational reasons.

Sample Rejection

  • If a sample is rejected due to inadequate quantity or quality, Genetidoc may request a repeat sample. Refund eligibility in such cases will depend on the laboratory policy.

3. Report Delivery Delays

  • Genetic testing timelines are estimated and may vary depending on laboratory processing, logistics, or technical requirements.

  • Delays in report generation alone do not qualify for refunds unless the service becomes impossible to complete.

4. Payment Refund Timeline

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days to the original payment method.

  • Payment gateway or bank processing times may vary.

5. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be provided in the following cases:

  • Change of mind after booking,

  • Failure to attend scheduled consultation,

  • Incorrect information provided by the patient,

  • Delay caused by incomplete documents or samples,

  • Services already completed.

  • Patient name,

  • Appointment/Test ID,

  • Payment receipt,

  • Reason for refund request.

7. Policy Updates

Genetidoc Genetic Clinic and DNA Testing Lab reserves the right to modify this refund policy at any time without prior notice. Updated versions will be published on the website.
